Police arrested a man and detained a woman for threatening to blow up Jodhpur city with a bomb. According to the police, while the youth issued threat as a protest against his employer for not disbursing his salary, the woman did this as she was under depression due to harassment by her in-laws.Police said that the man working with a caterer in Jodhpur called the police control room Sunday evening and threatened to blow up the city with a bomb. Acting swiftly, the Jodhpur police, with the help of the GRP and Pali police, arrested Shyam Yadav (43), resident of UP, late night from Pali.During interrogation, the accused revealed that he works for a caterer in Jodhpur, but his employer had not paid his salary. Angered by this, he consumed alcohol Sunday night and, in an inebriated state, called the police control room and threatened to blow up the railway station and the city. After making the call, he went to Jodhpur railway station and boarded a train heading towards Pali.”We tracked him and arrested him from Pali railway station with the help of GRP, RPF and Pali police Sunday late night and took him to Jodhpur,” said the police.In another case, police also detained a woman Monday morning for issuing a threat by email on May 10 to blow up key spots of the city including the two railway stations. During interrogation, the woman revealed that she was troubled by her family and in a state of depression, had sent the threatening email.
