Jaipur: The route to the Trinetra Ganesh temple inside Ranthambore Tiger Reserve was briefly closed Monday morning after tigress T-107, known as ‘Sultana’, was sighted moving with her cub.The 2.5 km stretch leading to the Trinetra Ganesh temple remained closed for about 0.5 hour. A forest official said, “The route reopened once the tigress moved her cub to a safe location inside the forest. Continuous monitoring of the tigress and her cubs is currently underway.”This was the second such movement recorded in recent weeks. On Dec 19, the tigress was seen shifting her cubs from a cave near the Mishradarra Gate towards the forest interior. “The tigress gave birth to her cubs in a cave near the Gate, an area considered one of her preferred locations. Most of her earlier cubs were also born in the same region,” he added.About one month after the birth, the tigress began shifting the cubs to safer parts of the forest. “After being seen moving the cubs towards Territory Zone No. 1 on Dec 19, she was again spotted Monday morning relocating a cub from the Atal Sagar area towards Gaumukh to ensure their safety,” said a forest staff member.
