Rajasthan shocker: Woman jumps into well with two children over domestic dispute in Jhalawar

JHALAWAR: A 27-year-old woman allegedly ended her life along with her two young children by jumping into a well in Dublia village under the Sunel police station area in Rajasthan’s Jhalawar district on Monday evening. The woman, identified as Rambharosebai, is believed to have taken the drastic step due to domestic tensions.According to police, the deceased, wife of Anil Gurjar, jumped into the well with her three-year-old daughter Prachi and one-year-old son Guru. All three were found tied together with a rope, indicating a premeditated act. Their bodies were recovered around 9pm following a search operation and were later sent for post-mortem.Sunel SHO Vishnu Singh stated that Anil and Rambharosebai had recently moved into a newly built house on their agricultural land in Dublia earlier that day, after disagreements over living arrangements with family members at their ancestral home in Gurjar Mohalla, Jhalrapatan.Later that evening, Anil went to the local market to purchase household essentials. When he returned and found his wife and children missing, he alerted the police. A search led to the grim discovery of their bodies in the well on the same property.The police have registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), which deals with suspicious and unnatural deaths, and have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances and motive behind the tragedy.The bodies were handed over to the family following the autopsy on Tuesday morning.
