Jaisalmer: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, 25-year-old Khushboo Rajpurohit’s journey to reunite with her husband in London ended tragically when the Air India flight she was aboard crashed shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad airport on Thursday.Khushboo, who had married a London-based doctor in Jan 2025, was embarking on her first solo international journey since her wedding. Working in IT, she had been eagerly planning this trip to begin her new life with her husband in London. The day before her flight, Khushboo visited the Brahma Temple in Asotra of Balotra district, seeking blessings for her journey. Her father, Madan Singh Rajpurohit, and cousin accompanied her to Ahmedabad airport, where they shared what would become their final emotional goodbye. The tragedy has left two communities in mourning – her native village Araba Kalyanpur in Balotra and her in-laws’ village Kharabera in Jodhpur. Madan Singh, who was returning home after dropping his daughter at the airport, received the devastating news near Mehsana in Gujarat. The father, who had just hours ago hugged his daughter goodbye, was now faced with the unthinkable. The incident has cast a pall of gloom over both villages, where Khushboo was known for her cheerful nature and bright smile. What was supposed to be a joyous reunion of a newly married couple has instead become a tale of unfulfilled dreams and broken hearts.
