Jaipur: Rajasthan Royals head coach Kumar Sangakkara believed the present squad has all the potential and firepower to turn the fortunes of the side.After finishing a lowly ninth in the last season, the RR die-hard fans are expecting a better show from them in the upcoming IPL 2026 season.“I have no doubt in my mind that this team has the potential to deliver and reach the top. They are working very hard in the practice sessions. Every player wants to do well and give their 100 percent,” said Sangakaara during a promotional event here on Sunday.The 14-year-old explosive opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi and experienced medium-pacer Sandeep Sharma also spoke briefly about the preparations for the upcoming IPL.Sangakkara praised the trio and called them exceptionally talented players. “I have seen a lot of Sandeep over the years. I have been watching Vaibhav since last year. Bishnoi has joined us this season but I have been following him for many years. They all are world-class players and should do well this season and many more years to come. As a coach, I don’t want to put pressure on the players. They are already under tremendous pressure. I told them to play freely without thinking much about the results,” added Sangakkara.
