Jaipur: The numbers didn’t lie. When the SOG first began to analyse the results of the 2021 SI exam, one date screamed louder than the rest: Sept 15. The exam was held over three days. On Sept 13, 157 candidates cleared the exam. On Sept 14, 269 made it. But on Sept 15, the last day of when the exam was held, a staggering 433 candidates sailed through — higher than the past two days put together, despite nearly equal attendance across all three.SOG said the explanation was simple . “The exam paper for Sept 14 and 15 was leaked by the Jagdish Bishnoi gang. The same paper and answers were passed around to other gangs. After failing on Sept 13, it is highly likely they sold it on a large scale on Sept 15,” the SOG noted.“The level of skew was impossible to miss. Of the 859 posts, just 19% came from Sept 13, 28% from Sept 14, and a whooping 53% from Sept 15. This reflects significant inequality against those who sat on Sept 13,” an official admitted. That also showed up in sharp contrast at the top of the merit list. In the first 300 ranks, only 35 belonged to Sept 13, compared with 98 from Sept 14 and a dominant 167 from Sept 15. tnn
