Jaipur: As part of their ongoing probe into the illegal arms trafficking syndicate, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in a joint operation with the Pratapgarh police, arrested a key weapons supplier, Saddam, who is accused of operating a widespread arms network across Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. ADG (AGTF) Dinesh MN said that the arrest was made through a production warrant from Jodhpur Central Jail, where Saddam was lodged in connection with another case.The investigation began with the arrest of Rakesh Rathore of Gangdhar in Jhalawar on June 28, who was found in possession of an automatic country-made pistol and two empty magazines. Based on his interrogation, police nabbed Salman, son of Nagda, and seized a large cache of illegal domestic and foreign-made weapons along with live cartridges. Police said the gravity of the situation prompted the formation of a dedicated team to unearth the broader supply chain.
