Jaisalmer: A speeding Toyota Innova SUV mowed down a 22-year-old wedding photographer, identified as Omprakash (22), a resident of Dholanada village. He was returning home from work in RGT police station area of Barmer district Monday morning. The mishap happened while he was crossing the road. The young man died on the spot while the SUV driver fled the scene with the vehicle, police said.Locals held a protest following the accident by placing the man’s body on the road. DSP Sukhram Vishnoi, reached the spot and Gudamalani SDM Keshav Kumar Meena also arrived to talk to the family members. Officers were still trying to persuade the family members to call off the protest when this report was filed Monday evening. TNN
