Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police Monday arrested another accused in connection with the SI Recruitment Examination-2021, in which a dummy candidate appeared in the exam to ensure selection. The arrested accused is a suspended second-grade teacher who played the role of a facilitator in the fraud.ADG, SOG Vishal Bansal said the accused was identified as Sunil Kumar Vishnoi (31), a resident of Sankad village under Sanchore police station in Jalore district. “He was posted at the District Education Officer (DEO) office in Sirohi and is currently suspended. Investigations revealed that Sunil Kumar assisted in arranging for dummy candidate Harsanram Devasi to appear in the examination in place of the original candidate, Daluram Meena,” he added.Through this fraudulent method, the candidate not only cleared the examination but also reached the final stage of selection.In this case, the main accused Daluram Meena, dummy candidate Harsanram Devasi, and accomplice Ummed Singh were already arrested earlier. “After this arrest, Sunil’s role as a key facilitator came to light, following which he was also arrested,” he added.SOG added that Sunil Kumar Vishnoi was earlier arrested in another case related to the Physical Education Teacher Recruitment Examination-2022. In that case as well, he accepted money in exchange for providing a dummy candidate to a selected aspirant.Further investigation is underway to identify other individuals involved in the racket and to trace financial transactions linked to the scam.
