Jaipur: Heat wave conditions aggravated in the state Friday when most places witnessed maximum temperatures above the normal notch. People in Jaipur experienced the warmest morning of the season so far, with a minimum temperature of 30.6 degrees Celsius recorded.Sriganganagar remained hottest in the state, where a maximum temperature of 45.9 degrees Celsius was recorded, according to Met reports. Attributing the climatic conditions to the active northerly winds and upper air cyclonic circulation, the Met office stated that the heat wave conditions will aggravate in the coming days.Jaipur recorded a minimum temperature of 30.6 degrees Celsius. It was followed by a scorching afternoon with a maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius. The roads were empty in the afternoon. In the evening, many thronged the shops serving beverages to beat the scorching heat. The ongoing spell of the heat wave has also increased the demand for water tanks as water supply has been hampered in many areas of the city.The Met office said that in the coming days, heat wave conditions will further aggravate, especially in the western parts of the state. Many places in the Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions are likely to see maximum temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius.The first fortnight of May so far has been pleasant for the state due to dust storms, hailstorms, and rainfall. Water supply was also affected in Dausa, Alwar, Ajmer, Jaisalmer, and Barmer districts.
