Jaipur: Speaker Vasudev Devnani Thursday disallowed questions by Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully on the possible redefinition of the Critical Tiger Habitat (CTH) in Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary on grounds that the matter is pending in Supreme Court.Jully had sought details of boundary changes, reopening of mines, and any action plans submitted to the court. The question, listed for the Question Hour, was to be answered by forest minister Sanjay Sharma. While Jully protested, Sharma displayed a poster from his seat, further angering the Opposition leader. Jully further asked, “Is the govt considering reopening the mines located in the Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary area? If so, what efforts are being made for this? Please place the details on the table of the House.” He also sought to know if the govt submitted any action plan to the Supreme Court regarding the redefinition of the boundaries of the Critical Tiger Habitat (CTH) in Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary. “If so, please place the details on the table of the House,” it stated. In the final question, Jully asked, “After the Supreme Court issued guidelines, has the govt prepared any action plan regarding changes to the boundaries of the Critical Tiger Habitat (CTH)? If so, what is it? Please place the details on the table of the House.”
