Jaipur: In a joint operation, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Gujarat and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police busted a narcotics manufacturing unit in Bhiwadi industrial area and seized over 21kg of banned substances and arrested three individuals.ADG SOG Vishal Bansal stated that the action followed specific intelligence developed by the ATS of Gujarat police. A joint team was formed under supervision of DIG SOG Paris Deshmukh, with officers from SOG Rajasthan and ATS Gujarat deployed for ground-level verification.During the surveillance period, the teams identified a unit operating under the name APL Pharmachem in RIICO industrial area of Bhiwadi. The intelligence was subsequently shared with local police authorities. Following this, and with the help of a special team from Bhiwadi police, a raid was conducted at the premises.Three accused were arrested on the spot. They were identified as Ankush, a resident of Agra; Akhilesh, a resident of Bhadohi; and Krishna, a resident of Banaras. The illegal unit was sealed after the seizure.Police said a case was registered at Bhiwadi Phase-III police station under NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway to determine the source of raw materials, distribution network, and possible inter-state links. Officers mentioned that the operation dealt a significant blow to organised narcotics manufacturing operating under the cover of industrial units.“We are checking where the banned substances were being supplied in the past three to four months. The suspects are being quizzed to ascertain their other aides,” said an officer.
