Jaipur: Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) officials Wednesday said the board conducted 130 exams in the past 2 years, compared to 107 exams held between 2014 and 2023 since the board’s formation.The board attributed the increase to transparent and fair testing practices. Officials also announced that OMR sheets for all exams will be uploaded online, allowing candidates to verify their responses alongside the answer key and reducing concerns about OMR tampering.From 2014 to 2023, RSSB conducted recruitment exams for 1,38,254 posts, while from 2024 till Jan 2026, exams were conducted for 1,26,663 posts, officials said.Maj Gen (retired) Alok Raj, RSSB chairperson, said, “Every exam that we conduct is vulnerable to paper leaks or unfair means, but in the past 2 years, 130 recruitment exams were conducted successfully due to support of all stakeholder departments, as strict measures were implemented.”The board is also considering uploading OMR answer sheets with details of which question paper set the candidate solved, the chairperson said.The board is in the process of starting tablet-based tests this year, which will further strengthen the security measures. These tests will be conducted in hybrid mode to avoid remote access in any manner.“In tablet-based tests, govt schools will be used as centres and an agency will be hired to provide the devices. With govt schools serving as exam centres, security measures will be of the state, with no chances of tampering with servers. Under this system, the question paper will be accessible to candidates on the tablet, while they will have to fill answers in a physical OMR sheet,” said the chairperson.
