Jaipur: Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) Thursday launched the sixth phase of its direct allotment scheme for investors who signed MoUs with the state govt under the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. The window will remain open till Oct 14 for MoU holders to apply for industrial plots.RIICO offered 6 000 industrial plots across 100 industrial areas in this phase, with special reservations for entrepreneurs in SC/ST, women, ex-servicemen and persons with disabilities categories.During the fifth phase in Sept, RIICO received 322 applications for 224 plots, with the highest demand in Kunj Beiharipura (Jaipur), Boranada Extension and Malsisar (Jhunjhunu).So far, RIICO received 1 450 applications for 990 plots, of which 707 plots were allotted and 213 were under process.For plots up to 50 000 sq metre, allotment will be done directly if there is only one applicant. If there are multiple applicants for the same plot, an e-lottery will be held on Oct 19. For plots above 50 000 sq metre, allotment will depend on the applicant’s eligibility and land requirement. Applicants must deposit 5 % of the total premium amount as EMD with their online application, as per the scheme.RIICO clarified that plots must be allotted in the same name as mentioned in the MoU and investors must take special care while completing the online registration.
