Udaipur: Pratapgarh district administration recently launched ‘Mission Pankh’ aimed at ensuring the holistic rehabilitation of POCSO victims. The initiative is being implemented with the support of the police department, department of women empowerment, and department of social justice and empowerment under the guidance of district collector Anjali Rajoria. The primary aim of ‘Mission Pankh’ is to provide a safe environment for girl victims and to empower them educationally, socially and psychologically. Each case is studied in detail to ensure that the affected children receive the maximum benefit of govt schemes and services. As part of this campaign, 30 girls were linked with victim compensation. Ten girls were enrolled in schools to continue their education without interruption. Thirty-three children underwent health check-ups and psychological counselling for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Necessary measures were also taken to ensure their safety from the accused.Rajoria further directed departments concerned to extend cooperation with sensitivity and empathy while maintaining complete confidentiality of the victims’ identities. She added that the administration is making efforts to arrange educational expenses of the victims with the support of philanthropists and social organisations so that these children can complete their studies without hindrance and move forward towards self-reliance.“The purpose of ‘Mission Pankh’ is to show that even after facing difficult circumstances, children can find new hope, new direction and a new flight. Our goal is to connect these children with the mainstream and support their journey towards a better future,” she said.
