Jaipur: Nimit Mehta gave his Team V Polo a perfect pre-Holi gift by slamming five goals in the final of the Rajasthan Tourism Polo Cup (6-goal) tournament at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground here on Sunday.Thanks to Nimit’s five-goal effort Team V Polo edged past Team Sainte Mesme 8-6.5 to clinch the title. He was rightly declared as the ‘most valuable player’ of the match.Nimit was well supported by Mukesh Singh, Vishal Singh Rathore and Gonzalo Yanzoon, who scored a goal each.For Team Sainte Mesme, Dino Dhankar (3 goals), Allan Shaun Michael (2 goals) and Lance Watson (1 goal) fought hard. Hemant Kasana also played for the team. Team Sainte Mesme also received a half goal advantage.On this occasion, the trophy was awarded by Narendra Singh, Digvijay Singh and Vikramaditya Singh Barkana.From Monday, SMS Gold Vase will be played. The final of this tourney will be played on March 8 at the same venue.
