Jaipur: Fast-rising Rajasthan shuttler Parul Choudhary caused a couple of big upsets to storm into the U-19 girls singles final in the Yonex-Sunrise All India Junior (U-19) Ranking Badminton tournament 2025 at Madurai on Tuesday.Southpaw Parul rallied back splendidly to topple top seed Adarshini Shri NB of Tamil Nadu 16-21, 21-14, 21-6 in the quarter-final that lasted an hour and nine minutes.After losing the opening game, fifth seed Parul bounced back to grab the next two games quite easily by displaying an excellent all-round game.Later in the day, 17-year-old Parul knocked out sixth seed Baruni Parshwal 21-18, 21-11 to sail into her maiden final. Churu girl Parul dominated her Haryana rival from the beginning to book her place in the summit clash.After winning a couple of U-17 All India ranking titles last year, it will be a golden chance for Parul to claim the U-19 crown.Parul, who trains under coach Manish Sharma in Gurgaon, will take on second seed Kanishka Bijarnia of West Bengal in the final on Wednesday. All the finals will be played on Wednesday morning.
