Jaipur: Rajasthan will soon roll out its own Motor Vehicle Aggregator Policy, Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa informed the Assembly Wednesday.Responding to supplementary questions during Question Hour, Bairwa said the state is currently studying the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2025 recently issued by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Steps are underway to introduce the Aggregator Policy-2025 in Rajasthan.“The policy, once implemented, will enable the govt to issue separate fare structures for aggregator cab companies,” Bairwa said. He added that to obtain licenses, cab companies will be required to have at least 50 motor cabs, or in some cases, a minimum of 25 vehicles. Under the Rent-a-Cab scheme, companies need 50 vehicles, with at least 50% being air-conditioned. Similarly, the Rajasthan Bike Taxi Policy-2017 requires at least one two-wheeler, while the Rent-a-Motorcycle scheme mandates a minimum of five two-wheelers.Earlier, replying to a question raised by MLA Kalicharan Saraf, the deputy CM presented district- and company-wise details of licensed aggregator cabs operating in the state. He also pointed out that while fares for auto-rickshaws (2013), taxi cabs (2007), and prepaid taxis (2013) have been fixed by notification, no separate fare system currently exists for aggregator vehicles.Bairwa further said that the state has already issued the Rajasthan On-Demand Information Technology-Based Transportation by Public Service Vehicles Rules, 2016, which regulate aggregators at present. “The state is now working to frame its new policy in line with the Motor Vehicle Aggregator Guidelines, 2025 issued by the govt of India on July 1, 2025,” he said.
