Raj to catalyse pvt investment for new industrial parks

Jaipur: The state govt has unveiled the Rajasthan Industrial Park Promotion Policy, 2026, aimed at accelerating industrial infrastructure development while seeking to deepen private sector participation in strengthening logistics, sustainability, and ease of doing business. The policy targets the creation of world-class industrial parks with robust infrastructure, integrated supply chains, and plug-and-play facilities. It allows development through multiple models, including fully private, public-private partnerships (PPP), and hybrid land arrangements involving RIICO.A minimum area of 50 acres and at least 10 industrial units have been mandated to qualify as an industrial park. The policy also widens the scope of industrial activity to include manufacturing, logistics, IT services, data centres, and even hospitality and renewable energy.Suresh Agarwal, president of Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI), said, “The policy aligns with Rajasthan’s push to attract investments in emerging sectors while improving industrial competitiveness.”Developers can avail themselves of capital subsidies of up to Rs 40 crore for infrastructure creation, depending on project size.In addition, green incentives include up to 50% reimbursement on common effluent treatment plants, capped at Rs 12.5 crore, signalling a strong focus on sustainable industrialisation.Further, the policy provides exemptions on electricity duty for renewable energy use, partial relief on stamp duty and land conversion charges, and incentives linked to employment generation and investment scale.Developers can also benefit from subsidies on plug-and-play office spaces and common utility centres, enhancing project viability.A key highlight is the integration of the RajNivesh portal as a single-window clearance system.
