Jaipur: Rajasthan secured the second position in the national level Poshan Maah (nutrition month) 2025, held from Sept 17 till Oct 16. On Thursday, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari congratulated the women and child development department for the ‘outstanding performance’.In the Poshan Maah 2025, Gujarat ranked first with 115.7% achievement of the target, Rajasthan second with 114.1%, and Chhattisgarh third with 108.3%.In the state, Secretary of Women and Child Development Mahendra Soni said, “As per the anganwadi center-wise report, Rajasthan completed 8,101,730 tasks against the target of 8,893,346, giving the state a total achievement rate of 114.12%. With the support of all 62,321 anganwadi centers, the state successfully transformed Poshan Maah into a mass movement.”In the state, Jodhpur district topped with an achievement rate of 134.9%, while Kota, Bikaner, Churu, and Hanumangarh achieved more than 125%.As part of the Poshan Maah, various activities were organised to spread awareness, engage with the community, distribute nutritious food, counsel for maternal and child health, and realise the goal of a well-nourished Rajasthan.The activities included themes like addressing obesity, reducing sugar and oil intake, early childhood care and education (ECCE), infant and young child feeding practices, and promoting men’s participation in nutrition.
