Raj govt seeks dismissal of SI exam cancel plea

Jaipur: The state govt Monday filed an application at the Rajasthan High Court seeking dismissal of a petition that calls for the cancellation of the controversial 2021 SI recruitment examination amid paper leak allegations. Arguments in the matter remained inconclusive and the court will continue to hear the matter Tuesday.Advocate general Rajendra Prasad, representing the state govt, argued that the petition filed by Kailash Chand Sharma was frivolous, noting that the petitioner had previously withdrawn a similar petition in the same case. Prasad emphasised that this crucial information had been withheld from the court. The AG further pointed out that a cabinet sub-committee’s decision, approved by the chief minister, to maintain the recruitment process had not been challenged in the current petition. tnn
