Jaipur: The Rajasthan anti-gangster task force (AGTF) Monday made a significant breakthrough in the ongoing probe against illegal arms trafficking with the arrest of a gun shop owner from Etah in Uttar Pradesh Monday. The arrest of 59-year-old Rama Shankar is the latest development in an investigation that uncovered a widespread network supplying firearms and ammunition to criminal syndicates operating in the state.Shankar, a licensed gun dealer, was allegedly using his legitimate business to divert arms and ammunition to criminals. Police said that Shankar ran a gun shop in Etah, but was secretly supplying firearms to various criminal groups across state lines.
