Jaipur: Rajasthan govt Wednesday approved a proposal by Jaipur Smart City Limited (JSCL) to develop six cities across Rajasthan as ‘Smart Cities’ under the state govt’s Clean and Green Eco Cities initiative.The executive director of Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water Sewerage and Infrastructure Corporation Limited (RUDSICO), Hari Mohan Meena, said JSCL has been designated as the project management consultant for developing Mandawa, Khatu Shyamji, Bhiwadi, Alwar, Bikaner and Bharatpur, all of which were identified in the 2025-26 state budget.“While JSCL got a budget of Rs 80 crore for each of Bikaner and Bharatpur cities, JCSL can spend Rs 30 crore for each of the two towns of Mandawa and Khatu Shyamji. Bhiwadi and Alwar will be developed for a tentative cost of Rs 50 crore and Rs 60 crore respectively,” Meena said. The approval came following an earlier proposal sent by the Smart City CEO, Nidhi Patel. TNN
