Jaisalmer: In an operation conducted Saturday night, the Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) detained a suspected ‘maulvi’ (cleric) in Kuriyaberi village, located in the Tanot-Kishangarh area near the sensitive India-Pakistan border. Sources said the suspect could be involved in potential anti-national activities in the region.According to sources, the operation was initiated based on credible intelligence received by the Rajasthan ATS. The team swiftly executed the operation, leading to the detention of the 45-year-old resident of Uttar Pradesh.Following his detention, the suspect was transported to Jaipur for interrogation as part of ongoing investigations. While detailed information is still forthcoming, the seriousness of his purported activities raises alarms among security agencies, particularly given the strategic nature of the border area.
