Jaipur: Widespread rainfall since Monday has significantly increased the water levels in the rivers and other reservoirs across the state. Two gates of the Bisalpur Dam were opened Tuesday due to good rainfall.The effect of the cyclone continued to bring moderate to heavy showers at many places in the state. Rainfall varying from 50 mm to 10 mm was recorded at several places, with Jagupura (Banswara) receiving the highest rainfall in the state of 60 mm.Cloudy conditions followed by drizzling continued at many places in Udaipur, Kota, and Jaipur.In Jaipur, cloudy conditions prevailed till afternoon, with an average rainfall of 5 mm being recorded. In the morning, a minimum temperature of 21.1 degrees Celsius was recorded and the maximum temperature then rose to 27.8 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.The Jaipur Met office stated that the cloudy conditions are likely to continue till the first week of Nov. An officer with the met office further said, “From Nov 5, a clear sky and northerly winds will guide the mercury to take a dip. During this time, the minimum temperatures, which are between 20 degrees Celsius to 22 degrees Celsius, are likely to drop between 15 degrees Celsius to 17 degrees Celsius.”People in Udaipur, Chittorgarh, and Bhilwara took a sigh of relief as Friday no heavy-intensity rainfall was witnessed.In its forecast, the Met office said that cloudy conditions are likely to prevail at many places, especially in eastern and some southern parts of the state, including Ajmer, Kota, and Jaipur.
