Jaipur: Private hospitals Wednesday ended their 10-day strike of cashless services under the Rajasthan Govt Health Scheme (RGHS) after reaching an agreement with the state govt on key demands. The decision came following a meeting between Health Principal Secretary Gayatri Rathore and representatives of empanelled hospitals. Rathore said the state govt was taking continuous steps to strengthen RGHS and address concerns of all stakeholders. “Changes are being made as required to ensure beneficiaries receive full benefits and irregularities are curbed,” she said. Hospitals had pressed for resolution on payment delays, involvement in drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs), regular consultations with officials, and transparency in operations. According to officials, five key demands were agreed upon during the talks, paving the way for immediate resumption of services. Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency CEO Harji Lal Atal said the process of clearing pending payments would be expedited. He added that RGHS package rates would be reviewed in line with the Central Govt Health Scheme (CGHS). A joint committee with hospital representatives has also been formed to suggest changes in SOPs, empanelment rules, documentation requirements, and transparency measures. Policy revisions in RGHS will be carried out based on its recommendations.
