Probationer SI held in ’21 exam leak case

Jaipur: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police arrested a probationer sub-inspector (SI) Friday. The SI, posted in police lines in Jaipur Rural, was allegedly involved in clearing the SI 2021 recruitment exam through fraudulent means.ADG (SOG) V K Singh said that the accused, identified as Satyendra Singh Yadav, was arrested by the SOG teams for his involvement in the recruitment paper leak. Singh mentioned that Yadav secured selection by using a leaked, solved copy of both shifts of the written exam held on Sept 15, 2021.Singh said the investigation revealed Yadav’s involvement in the racket. Originally from Khapariya village in Kotputli, Yadav currently resides in Ganpati Vihar on Sirsi Road in the city. The SOG officials reported that RPSC Ajmer confirmed Yadav scored 178.83 in Hindi and 160.33 in General Knowledge, totaling 339.16 marks, securing a merit rank of 12. However, during the probe, trainees at Rajasthan Police Academy, including Yadav, were re-tested using the original 2021 exam paper. A significant mismatch was found in Yadav’s performance, raising red flags. The investigation also revealed Yadav’s academic history. He scored 55% in Class 10, 59% in Class 12, and 57% in graduation. He failed the 2016 SI exam, 2016 Patwari exam, and the RAS Prelims in 2018.SOG officials said Yadav received the leaked paper from a gang involved in the recruitment scam. He was arrested on Aug 6, 2025, and taken into police custody. TNN
