Jaipur: In a move aimed at addressing concerns regarding the efficiency of its fire department, Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Part-II additional commissioner Narendra Kumar Bansal transferred fire deputy commissioner-II Monika Soni to the position of revenue officer in JMC’s Adarsh Nagar Zone. The decision followed a major fire incident at a heavy machinery dealer workshop in Bhankrota, near the Jaipur-Ajmer NH. Senior officials indicated that Soni had been under investigation for several weeks due to persistent complaints regarding administrative inefficiencies within the fire department.
