Jaipur: Due to technical problems in a Jaipur-Delhi flight, passengers were stuck at the Jaipur airport for over five hours Wednesday. Officials said the aircraft developed a technical problem when it reached the runway for take-off.
Passengers alleged they were kept seated inside the flight for over two hours, after which the air conditioning was switched off, leading to suffocation. The flight, which was scheduled to depart from Jaipur at 12:45pm, left at 6:38pm and landed in Delhi at 7:52pm.
A passenger, Rishabh Kumar, took to social media platform X and said, “…what nonsense is this, such a pathetic experience…”
Another passenger, Amit Kumar, said passengers were made to sit inside the aircraft first and then brought to the arrival area without any arrangements for refreshments by the airline company.
A Jaipur-Bengaluru flight scheduled to take off on Tuesday was also delayed by over 10 hours. A passenger, Narayan, shared on X, “Jaipur-Bengaluru flight due for departure 10pm (Apr 29), initially delayed by 2 hours, then 3, 4, 5. Accommodation provided at 6am, that too only to half the flyers. Flight rescheduled for 12pm today (Wednesday), but again delayed till 3pm. What nonsense is this?… Almost 17 hours flight delay, and such pathetic support. No one to assist or help.” tnn
