Jaipur: District administration Thursday formed a committee to investigate causes of the tanker-truck collision that led to multiple explosions of LPG cylinders on Jaipur-Ajmer highway Tuesday night. The committee’s chairperson is the additional district magistrate, city (south), and the regional transport officer Jaipur (I) is its member secretary. Members include sub-divisional officer Maujmabad, deputy superintendent of police, Dudu, project director, NHAI, Jaipur, and deputy controller, civil defence Jaipur.The committee will analyse the causes of the accident and provide suggestions to prevent such incidents. The committee has been directed to suggest measures for safe transportation of chemicals, gas, diesel, petrol, etc, and to prevent potential fires.Additional district collector Yugantar Sharma said, “Strengthening road safety, vehicle technical condition, driver training, and emergency response systems are the administration’s top priorities to prevent road accidents. This committee will investigate the causes of the accident after inspecting the accident site.” tnn
