Jaipur: Riding on a three-goal effort by Padmanabh Singh, Team Jaipur I emerged victorious in the Sixth British Polo Day event, organised at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground here on Tuesday.Two matches were played during the meet. The first match was contested between Team BPD II (British Polo Day) and Jaipur II, while the second outing was played between BPD I and Jaipur I.In the thrilling encounter between Team BPD I and Jaipur I, Team Jaipur I emerged victorious with a score of 6-4. From the winning Team Jaipur I, Padmanabh Singh struck 3 goals. Vikramaditya Singh Barkana scored 2 goals, while Siddhant Sharma added a goal. Col VS Kahlon also played for the team.From Team BPD I, Nick Clarke slammed 3 goals, while Malcolm Borwick chipped in with a goal. Other players from the team included Philip Muller and Jose Donoso.Earlier, another match was witnessed between Team BPD II (British Polo Day) and Jaipur II, which ended in a 4-4 draw. For Team Jaipur II, Kuldeep Singh Rathore scored a couple of goals, while Pratap Singh Kanota and Mrityunjay Singh Chauhan contributed a goal apiece. Rao Himmat Singh Bedla also played for the team. Similarly, for Team BPD II, Leon Donoso scored all 4 goals. Other players representing the team included Georgina Brittain, Orson Clarke and Jonny Good.Digvijay Singh, Tom Hudson, Peter Prentice and Narendra Singh were present during the prize distribution function.It is to be noted that due to COVID-19, British Polo Day was organised again this year after being held last in 2019.
