Jaipur: Riding on a five-goal effort by Padmanabh Singh, Team Jaipur squeezed out Team Krishna Polo by a wafer thin margin of 6-5.5 to clinch the title of the SMS Gold Vase (out of hat) Cup tournament at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground here on Sunday.Under the aegis of ongoing Jaipur Polo Season 2026, the summit clash lived up to the expectations of the fans. Besides Padmanabh’s five goals, Yogendra Singh was the other goal scorer for Team Jaipur. Divyamaan Singh Dujod and Harshodaya Singh also represented the winning side.Team Krishna Polo fought hard but fell short by a whisker. Vishal Singh Rathore struck 3 goals, while Ashvini Sharma and Sidhant Singh added a goal each. Yashovardhan Singh Gular was the other member of the team. Team Krishna Polo also received a half-goal advantage in the match.The ‘most valuable player’ award of the match was presented to Harshodaya Singh from Team Jaipur.From March 9, Shree Cement Cup will be played. The final of this tournament will be played on Sunday, March 15 at the Rajasthan Polo Club Ground.
