Jaipur: The district administration has seized over 1,000 LPG cylinders and booked more than 500 cases in a two-week crackdown against illegal refilling and black marketing to ensure public safety and uninterrupted supply.On Tuesday, raids were carried out in Jhotwara, Sumer Nagar and Sanganer, leading to the seizure of around 30 cylinders. Under the supervision of District Supply Officer Priyavrat Singh Charan, three special enforcement teams were deployed across key areas to act on complaints related to LPG distribution. “Acting on complaints or tips-offs, we have conducted raids almost every day in the last 12 days. So far, we have cracked more than 500 cases and seized over 1,000 cylinders,” an official from the district supply office said. “While in one case we busted an illegal refilling centre, in two cases delivery executives were found selling LPG in the black market to commercial establishments,” the official added. Authorities said FIRs have been registered in all cases, with cylinders seized on the spot.
