Jaipur: Bhojan Gorenc of Slovenia made the light work of India’s Ajit Bharadwaj 6-1, 6-2 to win the 65 plus men’s singles title as the O N Dixit ITF World Tennis Masters MT-400 tournament came to an end at the Jai Club courts here on Wednesday.Earlier in the semi-finals, Ajit edged past Dipankar Chakraborty 6-2, 4-6, 10-8, while Gorenc brushed aside Dilip Singh Nongmaitham 6-2, 6-1.In the doubles final, Dipankar and Ravin Chaudhary won the title by defeating the pair of Ajit and Rakesh Kohli 6-2, 6-3.Ajit and Rakesh rallied back to down Jayaram Ponniya and Dilip 4-6, 7-5, 10-5 in the semis. Dipankar and Ravin also had to stretch themselves in beating Lalit Sharma and Pramod Dixit 6-7(5), 6-2, 10-7.Jai Club president Dr Hari Om Bamb, secretary Sanjay Bhansali and Pankaj Dixit distributed prizes to the players. Bamb and Bhansali assured Jai Club of all facilities in the future. They expressed gratitude to the tennis association and the Dixit Society for promoting the club’s reputation globally. Pankaj Dixit expressed his gratitude to all the players who participated in the tournament from India and abroad.
