Jaipur: Jaipur Municipal Corporation will now comprise 13 administrative zones with a total of 150 wards. The boundaries and number of wards in each zone have been redefined, and the upcoming civic elections will be held on this new basis.Local self-govt dept Monday issued notification announcing the restructuring of Jaipur’s municipal zones. The city has been divided into 13 zones, with numbers of wards not uniform in the zones.The reorganisation will alter the city’s administrative boundaries and also of its municipal wards. With the creation of new zones, the govt aims to make civic administration more region-focused and efficient. However, officials are yet to be appointed according to the new structure, meaning that the arrangement may take some time to become operational.
