Jaipur: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Muay Thai martial art players met Rajasthan deputy CM Diya Kumari at the City Palace on Sunday and extended their greetings for the day. During the interaction, the deputy CM honoured the athletes by garlanding them in recognition of their achievements in the sport.Diya Kumari appreciated the players from Rajasthan who have brought laurels to the state by winning medals at national and international Muay Thai competitions. She welcomed the athletes and conveyed her best wishes for their bright future in sports.The Deputy CM also congratulated athletes Mudit Gupta, Vidhi Sharma and Mohini, who represented India in the Asian Youth Olympic Games, and praised their dedication and performance.On the occasion, Shriram Chaudhary, general secretary of the United Muay Thai Association of India (Shriram Martial Art), presented a memento and a magazine to the Deputy Chief Minister. He also briefed her about the activities and achievements of the game in Rajasthan.Diya Kumari encouraged the players to continue striving for excellence and assured them of all possible support from the government.It is noteworthy that Muay Thai players from Rajasthan have been consistently performing well. Recently, at the National Muay Thai Championship held in Hyderabad, the state athletes created history by winning more than 33 gold, silver and bronze medals. Under the guidance of Shriram Chaudhary, Rajasthan also secured the first runner-up position in the championship.
