MoU to offer rehab aid for crime victims

Jaipur: The city police Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Rajasthan Trade & Industry (FORTI) to provide structured rehabilitation support through financial, educational, and emotional assistance. DCP (West) Amit Kumar said that the collaboration is intended to restore the dignity and stability of people severely affected by crime—especially minors, women, the elderly, and disabled persons. As per the MoU, the city police will refer appropriate cases to FORTI through the office of the Commissioner of Police. A dedicated wing within FORTI will then assess these cases and design individualised rehabilitation packages, including fixed deposits, educational scholarships, skill development courses, or micro-grants for livelihood support. To ensure accountability, implementation of the rehabilitation programmes will be jointly monitored by both Jaipur Police and FORTI. tnn
