Jaipur: Medical education department has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Rajasthan Co-operative Dairy Federation (RCDF) to develop Saras food courts in hospitals attached to govt medical colleges. “We will soon hold a meeting with RCDF to finalise the formalities,” said Dr Naresh Goyal, commissioner of the department, Monday.SMS Hospital lacks proper dining facilities for patients’ relatives, doctors, and staff. Healthcare personnel have to leave the premises for meals and refreshments. Patients’ attendants eat in various undesignated areas within the hospital, increasing the risk of pests and infection spread. Similar is the situation in most govt hospitals.
