Jaipur: Rajasthan experienced a marginal dip in temperatures, Thursday, but the heatwave conditions continue to prevail, with no significant relief in sight. According to meteorological department, Sriganganagar remained the hottest place in the state, recording a maximum temperature of 47.3°CThe met office attributed the minor change in weather to active western disturbances and an upper air cyclonic circulation. It added that a slight drop in mercury is likely Friday, offering brief respite in some regions.In Jaipur, residents woke up to a relatively pleasant morning as the minimum temperature dropped to 27.0°C—nearly 5 degrees lower than the previous day. However, the afternoon remained hot, with the maximum reaching 42.8°C. Though the sky turned partly cloudy, no rainfall was recorded. Northerly winds in the evening offered marginal relief. Notably, Jaipur had recorded its hottest day of the season Wednesday with a maximum temperature of 44.8°C.Following Sriganganagar, Bikaner reported a high of 46.6°C, while Vanasthali recorded 46.2°C, Churu 46.1°C, Jaisalmer 46°C, and Barmer 45.8°C. The Met department forecasts a drop of around 3°C in maximum and minimum temperatures across several districts, offering limited relief from the ongoing heat.
