Jaipur: A massive fire broke out inside a ration shop godown in the Galta Gate area of the city Wednesday evening, triggering panic in the densely populated locality.Residents who spotted thick smoke billowing from the building were the first to alert the fire control room.Fire tenders from multiple stations rushed to the spot to douse the flames. No casualties were reported in the incident, though residents in nearby buildings were temporarily evacuated as a precaution. “A large quantity of kerosene was kept inside the godown, which appears to have intensified the fire,” police said.Officials from the fire department said that although the entire building was gutted, the fire was suppressed before it could spread to adjoining structures.
