Jaisalmer: The additional district and sessions Judge of Pokhran, Mahendra Kumar Goyal, Monday sentenced an accused, identified as Balaram, to 10 years in jail in a 9-year-old NDPS case. Additional public prosecutor Samandar Singh Rathore told TOI that on June 24, 2016, the Sankra police received information that Balaram, a tea-stall owner at the village crossroads, was illegally selling poppy husk to truck drivers along with tea. A fine Rs 1L was also levied. TNN
