Bhilwara: A peculiar case of alleged blackmail has come to light in Bhilwara where a man has filed a complaint against his wife claiming that she, in collusion with her former lover and accomplices, conspired to create and circulate a nude bathing video of her on social media to blackmail him and escape their marriage.According to the police, the FIR filed on March 20, details how the woman’s nude video was disseminated from a fake social media account. The man accuses his wife of orchestrating the release of the video to frame him for the leak, thereby facilitating her desire to divorce him. He claims that this plot was planned meticulously, and when he confronted her about it, he faced threats from the accused. The incident is compounded by a prior allegation made by the woman’s family against the husband regarding misappropriation of jewellery, highlighting an ongoing domestic dispute. Following the viral spread of the video, the man, accompanied by his family, approached the Bhilwara police station to lodge the complaint. During the investigation, tensions escalated further when the woman accused her husband of being the one responsible for leaking the video. Police said that evidence presented by the man, including social media conversations between his wife and her ex-lover, provided a turning point in the case. Police officials said that upon summoning the woman’s former lover for questioning, the intricate web of deception began to unravel. The lover claimed that the woman aimed to entangle him in the blackmail scheme as well. Further investigations by the police cyber unit revealed that the lover had supplied the mobile SIM card used to create the fraudulent social media account. Bhilwara Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh said, “The case is still at a preliminary stage, and it would not be appropriate to say anything more at this point.”
