JAIPUR: Police Monday arrested a man for abducting, molesting, and murdering a six-year-old boy in a Sawai Madhopur village. The boy’s body was discovered in a pond a week ago.Police officials said Narendra Meena, also known as Ramkishore, lured the boy from his home under the pretext of buying him chocolates. He then attempted to sexually assault the child. When the boy cried for help, Meena threw him into a nearby pond that was full from recent heavy rains, where the boy drowned.The crime took place in the Batoda area.The boy’s parents had gone to a nearby town and returned in the evening to find their child missing. A missing person report was filed the following day, and his body was found in the pond a few hours later.Police investigation revealed that the accused also practised black magic. He was in contact with the victim’s family for about a month, often giving children money and gifts to gain their trust. On the day of the murder, he called the family’s home in the morning to confirm the parents were not present.
