Times News NetworkJaipur/Jodhpur: Lawyers of the Rajasthan High Court in Jaipur and Jodhpur, and advocates in subordinate courts, abstained from work Monday to protest a decision to make two Saturdays each month into working days from Jan 26 this year. The boycott, timed with the high court’s first working day after the winter vacation, disrupted judicial proceedings.In Jaipur, advocates stayed away from courtrooms at the high court. Most of the listed matters did not proceed even as judges remained on the benches. But cases in which litigants argued in person were taken up, and adjournments were granted in most others.Representatives of all protesting bar associations will meet acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma in Jaipur on Tuesday.
