Jaipur: Protesting against the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) equity regulations, the Rajput Karni Sena Sunday held a demonstration outside the Khatipura residence of Member of Parliament for Jaipur Rural, Rao Rajendra Singh. Members of the outfit waved black flags and pasted posters outside the residence and on boards bearing the MP’s name.Singh was not present at his residence during the demonstration, which lasted for approximately two hours. Sher Singh Kalvi, from the Karni Sena, said they had come to question the MP regarding when he would raise his voice in the interest of students. “It is imperative that our elected representatives speak out on issues affecting our children,” Kalvi said.
