Jaipur: At a review meeting Thursday of ongoing construction works, JMC-Greater mayor Somya Gurjar warned officials against negligence. “No form of carelessness in development work will be tolerated. All projects must be completed within the stipulated time and with assured quality,” she said firmly.The mayor reviewed several key initiatives, including development of a sports academy at Ramniwas Bagh, beautification of parks, drain-cleaning work zone-wise, and infrastructure conditions in various areas.She also sought updates on proposed projects such as construction of a modern auditorium at Tilak Nagar Community Centre campus, construction of a triple basement parking facility in garden area of the municipal headquarters, a dedicated ULB club, and development of Atal Smriti Udyan and Atal Club for senior citizens. An exclusive children’s park for kids under eight years of age is also planned in Mansarovar.The mayor reviewed preparedness of flood control rooms established by the municipal corporation. She instructed officials and staff to remain on alert and ensure that essential resources like sandbags and mud pumps are readily available. “All open electrical wires in public parks must be secured immediately to prevent accidents,” the mayor added.
