Udaipur: A 27-year-old man, angered over his former girlfriend’s engagement to another person, killed her Monday in the Hiranmagri police station area. Vijay Bhoi (27), a choreographer residing in Sector-3, called Nikita Trivedi (22) to meet him at a private hotel located at Parshuram Chauraha in the Hiranmagri police station. During the meeting, the accused slammed her head against the wall. Nikita, a nursing student at a private college who lived with her brother in a rented residence in Hiranmagri, died on the spot.Later, Bhoi tried slitting his wrist with a blade. Moaning in pain, he abandoned Nikita’s body and rushed to a hospital, where he was admitted. The incident surfaced when hotel staff discovered the body in the room Tuesday morning. Police summoned the FSL team to gather evidence.SHO of Hiranmagri police station, Bharat Yogi stated that Vijay and Nikita met through Instagram and were in a relationship. After Nikita was engaged to another man and stopped talking to Vijay, he expressed a desire to meet her last time.
