Jaipur: Commissioner of police Biju George Joseph Wednesday suspended the station house officer (SHO) of Jamdoli police station and a constable for their alleged misconduct in a property dispute case.SHO Imrit Singh and constable Ajay were removed from duty for allegedly siding with one of the parties involved in the dispute, leading to forceful vacation of another party’s possession, said Joseph.Speaking to TOI, the commissioner said that Singh acted in collusion with one side to vacate the disputed land, allowing the other party to begin construction on the site. “This act was not only illegal but also raises serious questions about propriety and misuse of police authority,” Joseph said.The aggrieved party later approached the commissioner, prompting him to order an impartial inquiry into the matter.Joseph has previously taken action against police personnel for interfering in civil land disputes and making unilateral decisions without court directives.
