The weekend turned historic for Jaipurites as they witnessed a rare spectacle: Indian Army contingents taking to the streets for public rehearsal sessions ahead of the upcoming Army Day celebrations. Parade rehearsals held on Saturday and Sunday along Mahal Road in Jagatpura brought India’s military might vividly to life. Marching soldiers in colourful uniforms, perfectly synchronised formations, and the sheer discipline on display made for a compelling sight.

The rehearsals showcased fly-pasts by marching contingents, the movement of tanks, missile systems, advanced defence technologies, and modern warfare capabilities.

Residents waited for hours for the spectacle, and it was truly worth it, as they captured the historic moments on their mobile phones and soaked in the experience. Scheduled for January 15, the event will mark Jaipur’s first-ever full-scale Army Day Parade.
