Alwar: The police in Neemrana arrested a 38-year-old man for killing his wife on suspicion of an affair Wednesday evening. Bhupesh Sharma (38) was arrested after he himself called the police to report the crime. He was presented in court Thursday and is under two-day police remand.Neemrana police officer Rajesh Meena stated that on Aug 11, they received a phone call reporting that a husband had killed his wife. The accused, Bhupesh Sharma, was detained, and an investigation began. Bhupesh later confessed that he suspected his wife, Manjita (33), of infidelity, which led him to strangle her to death. Bhupesh is also an alcoholic and was troubled by debts, which caused frequent arguments with his wife. In a fit of rage, he strangled her with a scarf. Officer Rajesh Meena said that during police questioning, Bhupesh admitted that he had tried to reason with his wife about his suspicions, but she did not listen, which angered him and led to the murder. After the murder, he told the police that he did not regret the crime and is only concerned about his children’s future. The couple had been married for 15 years and have two children.
